It's rare but occasionally by DS won't seem to get enough to eat. Just now, for instance, he fed on on boob for almost half and hour, was still fussy, so I continued on the next boob for a another good chunk of time. Now, over an hour later, he's still rooting, fussy, and wide awake (he should be sleepy). I saw milk going into his mouth so I know he's getting it, and he won't take his pacifyer so it's not just a comfort thing. Other times, when I have continued to feed him he just ends up spitting up most of it.
Does anyone else have this problem? What do you think is the cause? How did you remedy it?
Re: Still hungry after an hour?
DS will do this to me when he's gassy. Or sometimes (like in the AM) when it's just an alert period for him, or if he's cluster feeding after a break of 2.5 hours or more away from the breast.

I 2nd the growth spurt idea. There are a TON those first few months. This is a helpful website on when to expect them (although they can happen at any time) and what the signs are: https://infant-toddler-health.suite101.com/article.cfm/baby_growth_spurts (sorry if not clicky). HTH!
