Intro and Diaper Bag Help

Normally I am a lurker but it appears since having a baby I have more questions than I ever use to, so I am introducing myself and asking for help.  My name is Jenn and I had a baby boy on May 6th.   Now for the help.. I was given a diaper bag as a shower present but I am finding since it is just an over the shoulder type bag that I really don't like it.  Looking for suggestions on a messenger type bag that holds the neccessities without being overly large as I am fairly short.  TIA

I don't have any suggestions for a messenger style bag, but I agree with disliking the over the shoulder style.  I went with a back pack.  That way all weight is evenly distributed, and it is big enough to hold mine and DH's stuff when we go out.  Plus, style wise, it is husband friendly, doesn't look like a diaper bag

Welcome and congratulations on your baby boy!!

I got my diaper bag at Target.  It's a JJ Cole, they have a lot of different patterns online and I would say the bag is "average" size if that helps.
