I was just wondering something.
DS sleeps well during the night and is usually up around 8:00 in the morning. He eats at 8:00 and then goes down for his first nap around 9:30. He sleeps until around 11:30 or 12:00. He is then usually up until around 3:00 and then goes down for his second nap of the day. This one lasts until around 5:00 or 5:30. After this nap he is up until 9:30 or 10:00 and then goes down for the night.
It seems to me that, now that he's napping and going to bed on a more regular schedule, that he eats more frequently when he is awake. For example, my parents came over to babysit while DH and I went out to dinner. DS was taking his bottle at around 5:45 and then was having another bottle when we got home around 8:00. I took him upstairs and gave him a bath and now he is eating again here at 9:30. Would this be considered "cluster feeding"? I know that some of you guys talk about your breastfeeding babies doing this at night but I thought that cluster feeding was when they ate small amounts over short intervals. DS is taking in 4-5 oz at each of these feedings. He is definitely showing all the signs of being hungry so I don't think we are reading into anything. Do any other bottle fed babies do this at night?
