What's "witching hour"?

Just curious, I assume its a fussy time?   My ds is always fussy after his 7:30 feeding,  I felt maybe its because he wasn't eating enough (I bf) so I gave him pumped milk and gave him around 4 ounces, and so far he hasn't fussed, but he's alert where as after most feedings he goes to sleep.   Normally he only eats around 2 ounces I estimate so maybe he's just that much more hungry at night.

  • that is exactly what it means. DS gets fussy in the evenings from about 6- 9 (or bedtime). and most night requires a bottle to fill him up cause all he wants to do is eat, and my supply is low by that time of the night.

  • The witching hour is a few hours in the evening when LO is fussy for no reason. They are usually consolable though, not nearly as tough to handle as a baby with colic, in my experience anyway!
