  • I don't have this, but I've heard rave reviews about it on here - and it's approved for sleeping.

For now, if he needs to sleep in the swing, I'd say let him.

  • Our dd would only sleep in the carseat or bouncy seat for the first week. Afterwards we swaddled her for a few nights and she was sttn already! Ds HAS to be swaddled or held to sleep. Good luck. The first night is unique!
  • Personally, I think it is totally 100% fine for them to sleep in the swing. DD slept in the swing for 7+ hours a few different nights. It was the only way (at the time) that I knew how to get her to sleep.

  • My friends LO would only sleep in the stroller for months, and I put LO in his swing, bouncy chair... whatever he needs to sleep in. He loves to sleep on my shoulder and I nap on the couch with him on my chest, but I don't sleep in bed with him, I'm too afraid. :) I believe whatever works, works!

let him sleep in the swing, my daughter slept in that little lamb swing for weeks
  • Our newborn prefers his car seat to laying flat in a crib.  At his 1 week appointment I asked the pediatrician if it's OK to just let him sleep in the ca rseat for now, and he said it's no problem at all and lots of babies like to sleep in the car seat at night.
  • Whatever works! Just keep LO close by to check frequently.

This. You are in survival mode! Just let LO sleep wherever they can and will right now.

My son would only sleep in his swing or vibrating chair, so he did. Then he would only sleep in our bed.

He now sleeps in his crib all by himself like a big boy! Don't worry about starting bad habits- they're too young for that right now.
