Questions about the Bob

I have been looking for a used double Bob for some time now.  I have ran across a few, but some were older models where the front wheel does not swivel.  From your experience is it better/necessary to have a font wheel that swivels?  Anything else I should know about the Bob before buying one?

We bought one but have yet to actually use it since the girls are too small to use as a jogger. I believe the swivel wheel makes it easier to use as a regular stroller around town, zoo etc. I do know that the sun shade was improved to make extend out further.

I'm not sure what a used one costs but we got ours for 20% off at REI.  HTH

  • We have the bob that has the front swivel tire and love it. It is so much easier to move around. You aren't stuck just going in a straight line or having to lift the stroller any time you want to turn. For me it just makes it easier and smoother.

Obviously I haven't used my BOB yet, but I personally love the swivel front  wheel.  It's so maneuverable!  If I needed to get to the babies fast, I can swivel the entire stroller around to face me with a flick of my wrist.  When I'm running, I'll lock it of course but I think we'll have the front wheel unlocked the rest of the time.

  • We just went to REI to look more.  Yeah, I agree the swivel wheel is kind of a must.  It makes it so much nicer to push.  They are 15% off right now, how'd you get 20%?

We have an REI membership and received a 20% off coupon in the mail.  I think the membership was $20.  When you join, you do get 20% off one item right then and there.
