Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Weight status?

During my pregnancy I lost 20 pounds as a result of terrible MS and Gallbladder complications. Then after delivery I lost another 15.  However, I assumed since I am breastfeeding that I would either lose or maintain my weight but over the past few weeks I have been gaining. My appetite has increased but all I eat are healthy foods.  And I really have a difficult time finding time to exercise in my day with taking care of my daughter and going back to work.

Any ideas?

  • Maybe start with something simple like a short walk with DD after work? Even 20 minutes a day can really help with the weight and your energy level. And/or get out there on the weekends...

  • is it possible that you're gaining weight because you need to? if you lost so much during pregnancy, maybe you're body is just building back to where it needs to be?
