mei tai questions

hey, anyone use a mei tai baby carrier?  I was wondering how big a kid can get before you can't use it.  Like, to me, it's worth $55 if I can use it for over a year or even 2, but not if only for 6-9 months... anybody know?  I'll post on the older boards, too. TIA.

From what I've heard, you can carry them up to 25-30lbs. I think each one is slightly different-but 30lbs is the heaviest.

Up to 35-45 lbs for most brands
