Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Xp what happens now?

To start I go for my 6 week check up June 1st. Dh was looking at my vag last night because I've been having some pain in one area. Well he said that where my stiches were between my vag and my butt there is a gap. He also said it looked like the gap was tearing on the end.. So my question is, do they re-stitch? Or something else? Btw I'm on my iPhone so excuse my non paragraphs.

  • I have this too, I asked a friend and she said it should heal itself if the skin is lined up.

I'm only 2+weeks pp, but it doesn't look normal down there at all. I feel like my OB completely f'ed it all up (OB that delivered me was one I had never met-plus he left gauze inside, so now I'm super concerned about what else he may have messed up). I know this is a TMI question-but does yours look normal? I can easily see inside and it looks scary in there....UGH

  • I haven't looked inside, too scared. Mine has looked like this since I looked which was probably a week pp or so. I have been too traumatized my the stitched in my clitoris.. Lol

  • Like PP said, if it's lined up you should heal ok.  But if you do have to get restitched, my Dr told me that you would have to wait aobut 6 months for everything else to heal then they have to redo it...  Hope you don't have to go through that!  If you're in pain (more than usual) or worried I would just call the Dr and asked to be soon!

  • OMG, that sounds terrible. Now I want to look at mine (had a 3rd degree tear) but I'm scared....

  • I had the same question a few weeks ago when I looked and saw a gap.  However, the next time I looked it didn't look as bad and when I went for my pp appointment, I was told it was healing well.  I think it must be normal.

It took 3 1/2 long years, but we finally got our little miracle!

  • Glad to see I am not the only one scared to look down there lol. I tore and was cut. I don't even want to know how many stiches they did. I have my 6 wk appt on Monday, not looking forward to someone getting all up in there haha...
  • Wow, I am sorry you have to deal with that. These are the stories that make me feel a TINY bit better about having had a c-section. At least I can fully see my incision and know that it's healed.
