? for those with toddlers

When was the first time you took your child to the dentist? Some things I've read say you should start taking them when they get their first tooth. Other things I've read say to wait until they have at elast a handful of teeth.

  • I talked to my dentist and she said 3 years old unless there is an issue.

    OK thanks! Smile

  • At DD's 2 year check up the pedi told us to take DD when she gets her 2 year molars! She said at the first appt. most dentists just work on looking at the teeth.  I can't imagine my DD staying still to get a dental exam.  Hell, I don't even sit still for that!

  • I took her at a year, and again at two years.  They just checked her teeth and put on a fluoride treatment.
