Curious to see what everyone else says on this. My daughter constantly wakes up after 30 or 45 minutes. If I get her up, she's OK, but clearly still wants to sleep and gets grumpy easily.
So I try to get her back to sleep with the paci and sometimes with an extra snuggle, but I worry I'm just creating a huge paci habit. I feel like she should be able to get back to sleep with something other than a paci shoved in her mouth, but maybe her urge to suck will go away soon.

I use the paci too but usually DD will spit it out after she's asleep and she doesn't wake up or need it again. I put her down at 1:20...she woke up a little before 2...I gave her the paci back and rocked her a few minutes and she's still sleeping now!!!
How old is your LO? I am not even going to worry about the paci habit until she's a few months older...I have too many other habits to break! Swaddling, sleeping in her FP Rock & Play and rocking her to sleep!
