So at some point I know I have to take LO out of his bassinet and into his own room in his crib *sigh*. My question is, where do you place them in the crib? It's so big I feel like he is going to roll over or something. Do you place them smack in the middle and their body facing you vertically or horizontally? Sorry if these are dumb questions, I'm just super intimidated by the crib. Any other advice on transitioning or crib "rules" are appreciated. TIA

Re: ? to those of you whose LO sleeps in crib
I'm no help, because K sleeps in her Nap Nanny inside her crib. But, a friend of mine puts her son in the crib vertically and closer to one side so it doesn't feel as big. She also uses a sleep positioner that seems to help make him more cozy.
First, we put her just like you would lay on a bed, that's how DD was placed in the crib.
Here are some tips that helped us:
- get a sound machine or Fisher Price Aquarium
- we swaddled DD, using the escape proof swaddle
- I put pjs that I had worn on her crib, stretched across her mattress, so when DD layed on it, she could smell me.

At first we put her in along the shorter sides of the crib, when she was super tiny (she's been a crib sleeper since about her 3rd night home). Now we just lay her in the center the long way because she's too long to go the other way. We swaddle her and lay her down alternating which side her head points to (pedi recommended doing this to prevent one side being flatter than the other because babies usually look at a certain thing in the crib, so by alternating sides, she's on the other side of her head.
Sorry if that didn't make much sense, I did not sleep well last night so I can't quite form proper sentences.
This.
