Moving From Bassinet to Crib

When did you make the switch?  DH thinks its still too soon but I think we might be ready.

Haven't done it yet.  We will be doing it when he can roll over.

Very surprisingly, my visiting nurse said that they advise babies to stay in their parent's room for 6 months.

We waited until 4 months with DD #1. It made night time feedings SO much easier! As long as DC is within the weight limit you should be fine still using it.

I think I'll make this switch in the upcoming week.  LO is getting to heavy for the bassinet.

Im going to try it soon because LO is a noisy sleeper and I think I might sleep better with him in the other room. We shall see. I get up and nurse him in his room at night anyway, so it won't be a hassle as far as feedings go for us. 1ht

my pedi recommended at 2 months and definitely by 4 months because they are aware of their surroundings and it could be difficult otherwise.  We are making this transition now. We actually have a moses basket and stand and t this point i have put the basket in the crib for him to sleep through the night.

We'll be moving DS to his crib at 3 months

it was about 5-6 wks for us- it was needed (she grunts in her sleep). i sleep a lot better now. i have the monitor so i can hear if she cries. i did cry the first night she was in her crib... it was worse for me than it was for her.

We have done this with our moses basket since day one.  I'm hoping it will make it super easy when we're ready to switch.  We were going to put her in the crib early on, but it was just to vast and you could tell she was freaking out.  We'll probably try to switch between 2 and 3 months because I want to have switched before we stop swaddling.

We'll be moving her to the crib this weekend...was going to do it last weekend but had her crib full of clothes to put away!
