Just got home from DS 2 month appt today. He's grown SO much. 14 lbs 10 oz (97%) and 25.75 inches (99%). What a big boy!! But, he was also 9 lbs 1 oz at birth and 22.5 inches, so we knew he was going to be a big guy!
He did really well with his shots too. I nursed during them. He took the oral medicine with out a problem, didn't spit any up, just had a look of disgust. The first shot really offended him and I've never seen him scream so loud or long on one lung full of air. But after that 1 scream he calmed right down and continued nursing. He got the other 2 shots while he was upset so I don't think he even noticed them. Thank goodness they were fast!
Now based on his weight I need to transition him to the crib (our bassinet limit is 15 lbs and we keep the pnp on the main floor). I'm not ready for him to sleep in the nursery yet! ![]()
Re: DS had 2 month appt today.
Wow that is a big boy! Cody was 9 lb 13 oz at birth (21 inches), but got down to 8 lbs 2 oz due to his surgery for pyloric stenosis. He was up to 12.13 lbs (23.5 inches) at his 2 month.
I am glad his shots went so well! Can you keep the pnp in your bedroom for a while until your ready to move him to the nursery?
Yay for growing boys, I'm glad that Cody gained it back well.
I probably could, but then I wouldn't have a safe place on the main floor for him to sleep, and I don't want to put him on just a blanket because we have a big dog (great dane) who still acts like a puppy and I have an irrational fear that she will be too excited about something and run through the room and step on DS.
Me too
I wonder how big he would have been now if he hadn't had surgery though!
It would be a pain to heft the PNP between the bedroom and downstairs then. I bet it would be hard to transition him to the nursery
I only have 1 bedroom, so Cody has been in my room the entire time.
