Alimentum users come in

How soon did you notice a difference? I feel like after the first few feedings he was a bit calmer (this was yesterday) and now today he's a 'whole new baby'. Still a bit fussy, but more relaxed I can tell. His belly isn't hurting and he is not SCREAMING! But, now he is throwing it up after almost every burp, so now it's on to a new thing to deal with...

  • Have you had your LO checked out for AR? I know Ethan was on Alimentum, but it didn't really help with the spit up. That's when we found out he had AR. -- We just switched Spencer's formula to Similac Isomil yesterday and he, like you said, a whole new baby! His spit up is almost non existant now.

  • Maybe a few days to see a difference.  But I will say, he spits it up, its just not a super heavy formula....thats why we have to thicken it.

  • We noticed a difference the very next day with DD on Alimentum.  She still was a little fussy but 1 week later she was also a "whole new baby."  I did notice that she spits up more with the Alimentum than other formulas.  We've been able to prevent this by burping her more during feedings.  Although it doesn't totally prevent it because if she lays down within 45 mins of eating, she still gets a small amount of spit up.
