Hi I am 20 weeks pregnant and need to find an OB in New Orleans. I'm a military wife and my husband got orders to report to New Orleans literally 12 days before my due date. Obviously I will be going down there before hand since I'm currently in North Carolina and won't be able to travel that far that pregnant. But any recommendations on a good OB would be great! I'm desperate to find a good doctor that will be willing to see me so late in my pregnancy.
Re: Looking for an OB Please Help!
Where will you be living? That might make a difference.
I had a high risk pregnancy, so my answer probably won't be relevant to you, but I delivered at Ochsner. My current OB is Dr Byrd.

I also recommend Crescent City Physicians. I see Dr. Paul dutreil, but I have also had Dr. Perret check up on me with my previous pregnancies and they both have excellent bedside manner. I find duTreil to be very easy to talk to. He's a laid back kind of guy that makes me feel very comfortable since I tend to freak out about everything.
I live in Kenner which is about 13 miles from their practice which is in Touro Infirmary in New Orleans. It takes me about half and hour to get there but I think they are worth it. And Touro is an older hospital, but it is clean and the nurses that tend to you treat you as if you are the only patient they have. Your not just a number.
Good luck! And if you end up in my area, email me if you have questions and i'll give you my name on facebook.!
