Bella Band is my savior!

I have been soooo bloated the past two days so I finally went to Target and bought a bella band and let me say I'm in love! I also browsed through the maternity clothes and is it just me or are short people the only ones who ever get pregnant. I'm 5'8" but I have really long legs so all the pants are too short lol **sigh** it was only one store so I'll keep looking.

Re: Bella Band is my savior!

  • i'm 5'11" and haven't really shopped around much, but something tells me i won't be able to find the 33" inseam i am accustomed to in maternity pants.

i need to get one of those bands or make my own soon!  im not that bloated i thought, but it's just getting uncomfortable to sit without unbuttoning... not pretty!

  • I'm on the opposite end...I'm "petite" (aka short) and can never find pants that fit both my waist and my inseam *sigh*  so I feel your pain.
  • I WANT MY BELLA BANDS!!

this is my second pregnancy so I'm bustin out WAY sooner than planned, somehow I havent gained a pound but have gone up TWO pants sizes!!! not sure how that math works LOL I figure maybe my brains have settled around my BUTT, cause they sure arent in my HEAD!!

anyhow I want my bella bands but I cant wear them because it seems like half the girls at church are preggers, one of them gets a eye full of bella band and there'll be a prayer meeting for my pregnancy ?LOL and we're not telling for another 2 weeks when we see the heartbeat!

So I had to run to the store and get another pair of shorts that will fit for the next ouple weeks. I'm hoping noone at church will notice that I'm pundging up fast.. hopefully they'll all just think I'm porking up not knocked up ;-P LOL

    ?

  • I also have the opposite problem, I am petite and the maternity pants are way too long and never fit right. I'm not going all out and buying new clothes, I've been getting my stuff from maternity consignment shops that carry current fashions. I've been keen on getting dresses and skirts because for some reason, pants are insanely uncomfortable (even maternity pants) when I'm at work.

  • Okay this is just starting to get scary with a few of the similarities between me and the other DaniGirl.  I mean WOW.  I am also 5'11" (but def not skinny like she is) so finding pants is hard.  I just got home from Target and I bought 2 new pairs of lounge pants that are tall size and two tank tops that hang long.  These will work in the interim until I start showing though and I can probably wear them below the belly after. They are long enough but we'll see what happens when I wash them Confused Hopefully they'll still be long enough.  Now finding a decent bra that's big enough...sigh, back to online shopping I go...

From another lady who's 5'11" and has done this twice:

Skip the pants. I had one pair of jeans with both my pregnancies and I bought them at Motherhood (they have a "long" inseam) and they were still not quite long enough.

I lived in skirts and dresses and capris. My kids were born in January and February, so it got a little chilly in the winter but, to be honest, you stay so warm just from being pregnant that unless you're outside for hours on end it won't be that bad. They also sell maternity leggings that you can wear, too, under a dress/skirt.

The last thing you want to do is feel frumpy while you're as big as a house! Don't buy the clothes unless they actually fit/are long enough.
