Ezra..

One of my good friends is having a Girl and has picked the name Ezra. Yes, it's a boys name but so is Aubrey and Addison but they too have been taken over by girls. Thoughts???

    I think it is a boys name. That is my thought. I don't like it for a girl at all.

    Agreed - and all I can think of is the band Better than Ezra.  Was Ezra that bad cat's name of Garfield, or one of those shows?

    I kind of agree.... I know it is a boy's name, but with all of the vowels and how flowy it is..... it seems very feminine to me.

    I love the name Ezra, but I've only really thought of it as a boy's name. But I think it wouild work for a girl.

    Aubrey and Addison I can see as girl names and I think of both of those as girl names. Ezra though is a boys name and you can't talk me into a different opinion :P

    It is on our list for a boy although I think it sounds like it could be a girls name. There are not many boys names that end in A.

    My thought is that boys name are all being taken over we need to stop somewhere or there will be no boys names left.  How about we start with the Bible...if it's a boy name in the Bible it should stay a boy name!

    I love the name for a boy, but I would never think of it for a girl.  I grew up with an Ezra and I always thought his name was great!
