We went in for an u/s today (not NT scan like the orders had been written for... i'll have that in another 3 wks or so)
Both babies have this black area behind their heads.
I know that for the NT scan, once i'm further along (only 9wk6days) that it can be worry for possible Downs... But the tech said that it can also be an early sign of T to T transfusion.
I'm a nervous wreck. We won't know more until the NT scan. Has anyone heard of this happening early on, and then going away? Or does it usually stick around? Please help. TYIA

Re: Black spot behind the head..help :(
after much searching, i found this link and feel a little better.

I have heard that a thicker nuchal fold at NT scan can correlate to a higher risk for TTTS, but I'm not sure if that's what is shown on your u/s. Did the tech rule out that it could just be the edge of the amniotic sac?
There ya go! Glad you found that so you can relax : )
