At DD's 4 yo well visit, the pedi asked her what her favorite food is and she told him "Mango." He asked, "are you sure it's not ice cream?" and she replied, "I'm sure. It's mango."
As a matter of fact, while I've been nesting this morning, I made minted mango sorbet in our ice cream maker. I'm eating it for lunch right now---yummy!

No--I got an ice cream maker for mother's day and I have been going nuts making up recipes. The mago sorbet is just pureed mango, honey, fresh mint, and water. Put it in the chamber and let it spin on slow for 30 minutes. I also made chocolate frozen yogurt in just the time since Eclaires posted her family drama. Easy peasy. AND the best part--I have discovered the ice cream maker is the perfect appliance for making alcoholic beverages--I can make slurpee type margharitas in about 30 minutes, great for cookouts.
We had a cookout last weekend with lots of small kids. I made poured the ice cream mixture into the make when the kids sat down for dinner and by the time they were done, the ice cream was ready. They thought it was so neat to watch it being made.

OOOOOOH, if I added a splash of vodka to this sorbet, that would be heaven!
