Wardrobe FAIL

I have a limited number of clothes that fit me right now (I'm working on it) so this morning I tried to add a little variety and wore a dress. Unfortunately, I failed to take into consideration the fact that I pump and the neckline on this thing can not be pulled down that far. Are you now getting a mental picture? There is only one way to gain access. Thank god no one can see me like this.

Usually, I dress before I feed C for the last time so I would catch something like this but this morning we were off our routine a little.

Re: Wardrobe FAIL

  • He he he....my clothes are limited too and I can so relate.  I think I'm ready to start working on that this weekend (exercising, that is...).  I have a couple dresses that would actually fit me, but because of the pumping at work thing, I haven't worn them.  I would almost have to literally undress in order to pump.  I know I have a private office and all, but there is just something weird about being half naked in my office while I hear people talking outside and I'm answering emails....

Umm, yeah this is what I'm going though today. I have a private office too but the walls are thin and sometimes I hear people talking so clearly that I have to look to make sure my door is closed.

Yes, it is freaking me out. What was I thinking? I blame the fact that C was up every 2 hours last night.

  • Oooof - that's rough.  Try to close your eyes and mediate some while you're pumping - the stress is going to affect your milk.  I've noticed when I stop working (I ususally work while I pump) and close my eyes and think about LO or look at her pictures, my output is better.

  • It must be the weather.  I type this as I'm sitting here in my shift dress getting ready to pump......oops

  • I have run into this problem repeatedly.  I now keep a V neck tank tee shirt dress in my Medela bag in case the outfit I need to wear to work is not pump friendly.
  • hahahahah! I am just picturing myself in this same position. Hhhmm, what would I do?

  • Did the same thing at dinner the other night...picture me in the car, in my slip, dress around my neck nursing LO.  My husband was so proud...or something like that...
