Ok I was prescribed Clarithromycin on Monday night.  So far I've taken 5 doses (1 every 12 hrs).  I am feeling the effects now, if you will.  Am I going to have the shits for 10 straight days??  Or is it something that kind of comes at the beginning til you get used to it or whatever?

We are on 3 antibiotics in this house - mine, Ian is on Omnicef and also having the poos, and Max is on Amoxicillin but escaping relatively poo-issue free.

Yogurt needs to be your new best friend. 

That particular abx is notorious for that, as well as a metallic taste in the mouth.

Yes - this stuff definitely is leaving a taste.  Well, it's a good thing I like yogurt.  Time to stock up.  I wonder why he gave me this rx instead of whatever I had last time for my sinus infection.  Hmmm.
