DS loves the moby, and I love wearing him in the Moby, but we live in southern CA and we both get way too warm if we wear it for an extended amount of time. I have been looking into some of the woven wraps, but they are so expensive. Are there any cheaper woven wraps out there or another alternative for the warm weather?
Thanks!
Re: Need help finding a cooler carrier
If you want a woven, you can watch FSOT on the babywearer.com. You can find some amazing prices there. For instance, I bought two Didys for around $60, a Bebina for $50, and I just bought a Neobulle for $50. All are in excellent condition, I just watch for really low prices.
A mei tai would be a great summer carrier too.
I agree with the mai tei recommendation, here's a page that show's how it's used

i purchased mine from an etsy seller, as far as i can tell it's as good as the more expensive ones

don't get one with minkee lining, it would be too hot for summer
she has a whole shutterfly album of fabrics if you message her

I really like my Calin Bleu gauze wrap for summer. I loved wearing DS in it last year (I can still use it now but use my Pikkolo more). It is almost as supportive as a woven but a lot thinner. Much more supportive than a moby or other stretchy wrap. Oh and I really liked th fact that you could fold it up really small and shove it in your diaper bag just in case.
This site has them for $65.
