The name...thoughts, suggestions

We have picked a name, but decided to keep it quite for a little bit longer because we wanted to make sure it was right for us and the baby.  It has been a thorn in my family because everyone wants to know.  This past weekend I had a shower and my grandmother and I were talking about a cousin (who I dont see except for maybe Thanksgiving) is naming her baby boy the same name we are, just a different spelling and a different middle name. 

I really dont want to change the name just because she is naming her's the same thing.  But I also dont want her to think that we "took" her name, because I am due before her. 

Any thoughts on this?  Just use it and not worry about it? Give her a call and explain? I have mixed emotions on this.

i would call the cousin and just tell her. say you were keeping it a secret and then heard you were using the same one. if it was me, i would also be sure to emphasize that the same name thing doesn't bother me at all.

Why should you have to change?  I would call her and let her know you picked the same name in case THEY want to change it...  that's if it really doesn't bother you...

I think at first it did.  When my grandmother told me they had picked the same name, my heart sank.  Then after speaking with my H and discussing it with him, I was set.  It fits for us.  It just happens to fit for them as well.
