No way, oh thats great, was kinda feeling alone on that one!!! My DH is very patient and so laid back, well lady...................a big cheers to our luck finding our one and onlys....oh i know we did a post but how long are you both married and when did you meet him?
My cousin is dating a guy who
is 12 years younger than her (she's 36, he's 24) she was apprehensive
about it but I nicely told her to get over it and give him a
chance. Things are apparently going well because she thanked me
for encouraging her.
I met him through my BFF and her husband (the husband was my husband's supervisor). We will be married 4 years in September (whoa went by fast). I almost didn't go out with him because of our age different but I'm glad I did. The thing that has surprised me the most is that he is more mature than the other guys I've dated whom were older than me.
I know a lot of women who are 5+ years older than their husbands.
Now it's your turn....how did you meet your husband?
Re: *Karen*
I met my DH at work. He is totally not my type, and in my younger days I wouldn't have given him the time of day. I'm glad I met him when I did (after I had given up on the ideal man who was tall and rich and loved to travel and spend money on me).
Any way...He walked up to me and handed me his number and told me to "Call me if you want to" and then walked away. I was flabergasted. He didn't try to conversate with me or tell how much of a good man he is (like most men that I have dated (who's advertisements were mostly false).
I lost his number right away...not on purpose I promise...Three weeks later he brought me a coke (it was really hot that spring). I was too embarrased to tell him that I had lost his number when he asked me if I was going to call him. He gave me his number again. We had our fist date and hit it off very well.
He had one hurtle to over come. i knew our relationship wasn't going anywhere if my (now our) daughter didn't like him. She was 8 months old at the time. She took to him right away. So much so that she only needed me for food and baths. I must admit I was a little jeoulose of their relationship. I love them both dearly and life wouldn't be the same without them...M Echols
Sorry was very busy at work there, sneaking in a post
ya same here, i almost didnt give him a chance because i was worried about the age diff, he wasnt of course!!! I met him a few times on various nights out, he would always say hi but i wasnt ready for a relationship, too many bad ones and was enjoying single life, one night i decided what the heck for the fun of it and boom we just hit it off and i fell completely in love with him. To think he is only about 2 fields away from my home house....i went to ny when i was bout 24.....so i missed him and found him when i returned, well about 5year or so after
im so happy for the both of us, another cheers
to our men!!!!
Hi mar, what a funny and lovely story, im so glad we are soooooo happy, congrats on your gorgeous girl and cheers
to you man also!!!!
My husband wasn't either. I had a thing for the a*hole cheater types (you know the ones you want to bring home to your mom
) who were too 'cool' to admit they were your boyfriend. My husband is the exact opposite.
Karen, there was six months between out first date and second (because I was being stupid). I started to realize I was thinking about him a lot so I'd casually thrown an email his way here and there, which turned into random phone calls on his part and then eventually lead to our second date.
I think our brains new before we did.
