I know the drop-down version is no good, but has anyone heard anything negative about the stationary version?  I know it used to be a popular buy.

A friend of mine bought one, but then the owner of a more-expensive baby store said he pulled the model and doesn't recommend it.  She wasn't sure if it was for safety reasons or if he was just trying to get her to buy a pricier crib.  But now she's worried... 

I couldn't find anything specific online, but maybe y'all can help.  TIA!

I've been doing some crib research lately and didn't come across anything about the safety of the stationary Lauren.

I have the stationary one and I believe it's okay and there are no recalls on it (yet). I'd keep my eye out but not worry about it until I hear something.
