Does anyone have an abdominal hernia or diastasis recti?

So unfortunately after DS, my abdominal muscles were hugely separated and the Dr informs me that they will not be coming back together without surgery after we are done having kids.  We have one on the way and then the plan is to wait until they are in school to have a third and probably final.

I was wondering if anyone else has this condition? I know that if it is not corrected, you can have back pain, your intestines can get in all sorts of trouble, and you have a poochy pregnant look to your belly.  

I'm not sure how it will be to deal with these issues for the few years while we are waiting to have our last child.  I know in the grand scheme, it's only a few years of my life. But would you have children closer together so that you could get the problem fixed sooner?  Thank you

    Oh and the Dr said it will likely get worse with each pregnancy. After ds, my guts were so far out and there is nothing covering them so I can see them rippling around in there. It looks crazy and wrong. All worth it for my sugar baby but eventually I'd like to be normal again.

    not just for that reason, but I think in your case I would wait til number 2 was maybe 18-24 months and then ttc. That way you wouldnt have to go too long with your belly like that (and back possibiily hurting) and you can get having kids done with. 

    At least then your oldest would be in preschool.
