Connecticut Babies

can anyone shed light on CT's mandated coverage for IF?

DH and I are running out of options to conceive. IVF is one of our only hopes, but our insurance doesn't cover it and NY does not mandate coverage.

I know CT does but am unsure as to whether you need to live, work or live AND work in CT for such coverage to take effect. I was laid off a while ago and figured I'd should look for a job in CT but want to be sure living in NY isn't a problem. In addition, DH is in sales and his territority is throughout NY AND CT so technically he works in CT, though his company's headquarters are in NY ....

I'm just not sure where to go for answers to such questions and thought someone here might be able to shed some light....

 TIA

  • I would call 211 and ask them.  They usually have the most up to date information.  If you are calling from New York, you may need to go to the website instead of calling www.211.ct.us.org. Good luck
