Hey ladies!
My name is Lisa, and we are expecting our second child in Novemeber! Our son Garrett is about to be 2 next month. We suffered from secondary infertility and after 17 mos of TTC, 3 rounds of Clomid, and 1 failed IUI we finally had success!
I had been on the Knot for my wedding planning, and decided to come here to check out the pregnancy part I am hoping to find some Mommy buddies in my area!
I will be trying for a VBAC at Ridgview Medical Center in Waconia, and would love to hear any stories about VBAC or reviews on RMC!!
Looking forward to meeting you ladies!!
Re: Hello!!
Does your screen name imply that you are a Packer fan? If so, you may be my new BFF
Welcome to the board!
Hi & welcome to the bump even if you are a Packer fan
I was going to warn her about you in my previous post, but I figured you'd be along to terrorize us in no time. Way to be on that, Patti.
But you have to give me points for not just "1 staring" this & never talking to "you people" ... I like to make friends on the other side even if I think your side is wrong
I had LO at Ridgeview in December. Loved the facilities! Very nice, hotel like, but also really good nursing care for LO and me. I was there on a holiday weekend so there were a few thing that weren't around, like lactation consultant, but the nurses did a good job and then I followed up a week later with LC. Also I didn't get much of a menu choice one of the days, but it was ok and I just asked for something else when I wanted it. Who is your OB?
Welcome, and congrats!!! All of your hard work will be paying off very soon
I am due in July, and I am going for a VBAC also (but at a different hospital)! My daughter was breech, so I had a c-section. I'm very nervous, but very excited and hopeful at the same time!
Good luck to you!!
I am seeing Dennis Moling. And I think he is fantastic!! I saw Jamie Otremba for all my fertilty stuff, and she was great too.
Welcome! I saw Dr Huldeen at Western OB and delivered at Ridgeview. I LOVED the hospital, but had a few concerns. The LC wasn't very helpful for me. She wasn't around for the first couple days after my c-section b/c it was a weekend. I really struggled with BFing and by then I wasn't able to get it to work. I tried for 6 weeks with no success and I fault my poor start.
Also, the nurses let my mom and SIL hold MY baby before I did. He was out of the nursery before I was out of surgery and the nurses said, "You can hold him if you want"....GRRRRR! This WILL NOT happen next time.
That said, Dr Huldeen didn't seem thrilled when I told her I may want a VBAC next time. I hope it works out for you.
Hi Angie!
I saw that you also use Dr. Huldeen as your Dr. Am I able to send you a PM?
Some OB's are just all around not very pro VBAC. They have to be at the hospital your whole labor, and they are kind of involved. Plus, depending on the circumstances of your section, a VBAC may just not be an option either.
