Thursdays # = 39.6
Yesterday's # = 843.1 - WOW!!
When the nurse called me back, she said that those are great results and that she doesn't see the need for me to go for more bloodwork, but wants me to come in for a sonogram because with numbers like that, she thinks there is a good possiblity of mulitples! WHOA!!!
My numbers were supposed to double within 48 hours, and even though it was closer to 4 days between the two draws, if you do the math, my doubling time is less than 24 hours. I know that high betas don't always = twins, but that combined with the fact that I had a pretty obvious BFP at 9dpo makes me think that maybe there really is more than one in there!! I have an u/s scheduled for next Wed. I don't know how I am ever going to make it that long!!!
Re: Betas are in! HELLO rising numbers!
My grandfather on my mother's side did have fraternal twin brothers. And the nurse told me that it's the mother's side that it could mean inherited from. I don't know if one set of twins is considered a "history of twins", but I guess it probably makes me somewhat more likely to have twins.
What great numbers!! You may just have more than one little peanut in there, can't wait to hear!!!!

Harper Oksana, born on her due date, January 20, 2011, and the love of my life
I don't really know what I'm hoping for, LOL!
Part of me is so excited at the thought of twins, but the possibility of that extra financial responsibility definitely freaks me out, as well as the thought of caring for two newborns at once. I'm sure that's how everyone feels though! Only time will tell. u/s is at 2:00 next Wed. I will definitely keep you ladies posted
