So we need to get a kiddie pool for the summer. Our old one is worn out and gross. I went to Walmart at lunch and found one that is collapsoable and doesn't require inflation. The water holds up the sides, it was also not expensive, perfect....it folds up for easy storage and I don't need to deal with the air compresser. So I get in the car and realize it's 8 feet around by 18 inches high and holds 552 gallons of water. Is it just me or does that seem like over kill for a pool that you are going to fill and empty every time you use it?
Re: kiddie pool
That does seem a bit big. My mom had one of those collapsable ones last year and it didn't hold water all that well (with my active boys who liked to get in and out and would pull the sides down). I usually get cheap ones and buy a new one every summer (or two if I need to). This summer we have this one and the boys love it so far. It does have to be inflated but holds the air pretty well so we just leave it blown up and lean it against the back fence when we're not using it.
It is only $14.99 on amazon and has free shipping

Yeah I'm going to have to exchange it for a smaller one. We have a sprinkler system in the yard so there is no way we can leave it setup like that. I should have noticed the size when I was there but I was in too much of a rush.
