This was my first cycle on Clomid (50 mg).  My 21 day progesterone levels indicated no ovulation so I started Provera.  That was 14 days ago.  I have taken Provera for the past three cycles and AF always comes 2 days after the last pill.  I got suspicous because AF has not shown, and my boobs have been super-tender for a week (they haven't been sore in years).  Since I was planning on drinking tonight, I took a Clearblue digital pregnancy test just in case....and got a BFP!  I was super excited but then took a FRER, which was negative.  I am so confused!  I want to be excited but I am scared to get my hopes up.  I want to go out and get more tests but they are so expensive and I was hoping someone could tell me which ones to get.  Thanks in advance (and sorry so long!)

    I would call my doc for a beta. This sounds strange. Maybe get another 2 line test, possibly your FRER was defective?

    Very odd - usually FRER is more sensitive than a digital.  I would def. call your doctor especially since you took the provera.

    will do!  I did a little online research and unfortunately clearblue digital seems to have a higher false positive rate than some other tests.  I guess time will tell....

    Were the 2 tests done with different urine?  Maybe you didn't wait long enough before the FRER and your urine was too diluted.

    I did test before the Provera and it was negative.  That was two weeks ago.

    I did two more FRER's and both were negative.  So I'm thinking no BFP for me tonight.  I'm really upset but I guess it happens.  I'll call my OB tomorrow though--I'm sure she'll have me come in just in case.

    On the bright side, maybe sore boobies mean AF is on her way and I can officially be done with the worst cycle of all time.
