anyone else?

I don't know why I find myself worried all the time. I haven't had my first u/s yet im only 5 weeks and I don't go in for another 3 weeks. I just don't want to find out that theres no baby or anything like that. Has anyone else been worried before....Im like worrying myself sick I hate it! lol

Re: anyone else?

  • Definitely in that boat with you! I was so scared the first few weeks and with every day that goes by with no problems my tensions ease. I'm sure yours will as well, especially once you get to hear your little angel's heart beat.Big Smile

  • I have days when I'm paralyzed with fear that I'm going to have another miscarriage. Usually on those days I immediately go pee on a stick. Seeing that lovely dark line makes me feel so much better! I'm hoping I feel better after my u/s on Friday. I've found that the best thing for me is to just keep busy. If I'm constantly doing something I don't really have time to worry about it as much. Also, you could try listening to calming music or a guided meditation.

  • Me!! Every time I go to the bathroom I check for spotting. I feel like you that I'll go in and they'll say, oh there's no baby in there or something is terribly wrong. I will feel so much better when I've seen the doctor.

I also reassure myself with statistics, it's more likely that this is a healthy, normal pregnancy (hence the term, normal), than that something is wrong. Try not to stress if you can at all avoid it, but I know how hard it is to worry and not feel sure yet.

  • Very common concern.
I give up trying to get a ticker.  I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome.  Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself.  Hmmm.  How about...

  • Every minute of the day. And spotting yesterday was not easing any fears. I go next Thursday for an u/s. I will still worry after that.
  • I am in the EXACT same boat. I do get worried every single day. The more I seem to read the other forums the more worried I get. I just try to go day by day and as much as I hate the cramping and feeling crappy, it reassures me a little bit that there's still a baby in there making me feel like poop. Haha.

  • i know how you feel.  i'm also five weeks and i dont go in for an u/s for another 3 weeks.  i've been cramping a lot and everytime i get one i get scared...but then i tell myself its just my body stretching to make room for baby.  try not to stress yourself out.  i know three weeks feels like a lifetime to see that little heart beat! i'm counting down every day!

  • Thanks ladies, I don't feel crazy now lol.

Heres to happy healthy pregnancys for all of us!!

  • Lol, same name and same symptoms apparently.  And our due dates are just a few days apart.  Anyway, after the hell of IF I find myself waiting for the other shoe to drop.  I am so scared that something will go wrong.  I just want to get to my appointment and for the doc to tell me that I have no cause to worry.
