Increased anxiety when beginning meds...

Those of you who had increased anxiety when beginning zoloft or other antidepressants, what was it like for you?  How was your anxiety increased?  Thanks.

Its about finding the right med for you, I think.  I had increased anxiety and felt AWFUL on zoloft.  2 days at 25 mg was all I could take.  I stopped. 

Then I tried Lexapro, worked great for me from the beginning.

 That was 3 years ago.

When I started for PPD again just a few months ago I had a bad reaction to Lexapro -- increased anxiety,  no appetite, felt terrible.  Switched to Paxil CR and that worked for me.  My Dr also prescribed some Ativan to see me thriugh the transition.

A lot of people told me to stick it out.  But after bad reactions my 2nd time on lexapro from over a week I said, no way.

 If the meds make you feel awful -- not just a little uncomfy -- I say look for a new one.  I know how that feels.
