I have seen a lot of posts on whether to get a second crib or not, but what are you doing for changing tables? Will you have one in each room, or bring one LO into the other's room for changing until the older is ready for potty training?
we have a changing table in the boys' shared room and a pad on top of DH's dressed in our room (baby was in our room for 7mo). i used both of them but would have been JUST fine without two. in fact, we just talked last night about getting rid of both of them. sometime in the last 2 months we stopped using both of them entirely.
I don't think L will fit on a changing table by the time #2 comes along. I plan to move L's furniture into the baby's room and get her a new crib and bigger dresser.
We kept the changing table in the baby's room and bought a second changing pad to keep on the floor for DD's room. That worked out really well because I had a hard time lifting DD up to the changing table when I was in 3rd tri.
My boys are in separate rooms and I still use a changing pad/table for DS1. DS1's is part of his dresser. DS2's we are using the dresser from my old bedroom set and the changing pad is on top of that. I do leave some of DS1's diapers in one of the dresser drawers in DS2's room. Their rooms are on different levels (DS2 is upstairs where we spend most of our time).
Half the time we change L's diaper downstairs, and I sometimes do it in her crib because she stays still better. She wiggles around too much on the changing table and is almost as long as it so I don't think I will miss using it for her at all when we move it to #2's room.

this. We've only changed DS#2 in our room b/c DS#1 was not happy when we used it after we first came home with DS#2. Now DS#1 is used to DS#2 so it probably wouldn't be a big deal. We have everything all set up in our room so we've just kept using it for DS#1.

We have one upstairs and one on the main level in the laundry room. Best decision ever to put one in there. Got it at a consignment sale for $20, all I had to do was buy a replacement pad because the other was gross. It's right near our laundry sink for major blowouts, a lifesaver!!! DS is almost 20 mos and he still lets me change him on the table, although we're transitioning to potty training (slowly).
Each baby has a dresser, so we have a changing pad in each room. If you want to use a changing table, I would have two stations. I actually have three if you count the pack n play which is downstairs. There are lots of times when one is getting changed and the other is sleeping.
