update on boss w/preeclampsia
Thanks for all the info last week. She was on bedrest this weekend and was hoping to come in to work today. BUT, she went in for a stress test and was admitted to the hospital immediately - it's preeclampsia and (or?) an issue with the placenta not getting enough nutrients to the baby (I'm not entirely clear).
They're going to have her deliver next week, once she hits 35 weeks. The baby is 4lbs14oz right now and they gave her a steroid shot just in case. She's freaking - understandably - but I'm glad she's in good hands.

so strange. i was JUST rereading your post from last week and wondering how she was doing.
scary situation, but it sounds like they are really on top of it. if baby is 4lbs14oz now, she should be well over 5lbs by delivery next week. at that weight and over 35 weeks, her baby should be ok, considering!
i'll be thinking about them!
