We are going with Elaina for sure, but still debating on the spelling. Do you like Elaina, Elana, Elena, or Elayna? DH wants to go with the E spelling instead of A. Thanks for any input.

I like Elena. I would discourage Elana because I think you'd get E-lah-na or E-lan-a like atlanta

I would say Elena. I knew an Elena growing up and that's how she spells it. It seems simpler than the other spellings.

I would pronounce Elena as "EH-lin-uh," like Helena, the capital of Montana.  So if you want it to be pronounced "eh-LAY-nuh," then I think you need to go with the spelling Elaina, which does not leave as much (if any) room for mispronunciation.
