I just ordered my Dyson.

God knows I need it with all the crap we're tracking in from the Big Woods. :-)

  • Yay! After your DH's vacation, you deserve it!
  • He's getting an itemized bill from the hotel. He says that it's off by about $140. Darned right it is, pal.

  • Yay! Which one did you get? We got one when in Feb '07 when I was pregnant with the twins. We were seriously going through 2 vaccuums a year (we had 3 dogs at the time and a cat- now we only have 1 dog and a cat but 3 kids- lol!) and I had had it... I told DH with the amount that we were spending on vaccuums a year that didn't last we could've purchased a Dyson and still had it so he caved and we got it at for an unbelievable price at Kohls- it was on Sale, I had Kohls cash and we got an additional percentage off for using our card. I use it EVERY day- we have the Animal- it's purple. :)

  • I got Ye Olde Basic Dyson. The DC14 All Floors. I got it for about $265 on Overstock because it's a refurb, but winery said that their refurb was indistinguishable from new.

My kids' socks are really gross, even though I am sweeping daily and steam mopping twice a week. I hope the filth dies down once the house is together and I get rid of the previous owner's dust.

  • I want one.  DH keeps telling me he is installing central vac.  He better do it soon or I will be ordering one of those! We track in so much crap too.
  • Just so you know, my mom had a central vac and I hated it. The hose is about 25' long, heavy, and never in the spot where you want to use it. Good concept, lousy actuality.

  • My mom has it too and I don't mind it..  I want that damn crumb catcher for the kitchen.  Our house is 2500 sq ft up and down so we would install multiple outlets to plug into. We would have two hoses so we wouldn't be lugging it all over.   I just am so sick of sweeping b/c it isn't cutting it.  We don't have an asphalt driveway so we are always stopping crap in.
  • I hear you. This place is 2555 sf... upstairs alone, and the basement is mostly finished, too. Huge. Lots of floors to be done.
