January 2011 Moms

My pants don't fit!

I feel ridiculous since I'm not even 8 wks pregnant but my pants don't fit!!  I know it's all bloat but it is making me want to go out this weekend to buy maternity pants.  All of my pants are digging into my stomach and it hurts!  :(

Anyone else in this boat?

Yep. The Bella band is a lifesaver!

For this child I prayed, and the LORD has given me my petition which I asked of him.

  • Yep - I'm rocking the bella band today. It especially helped after I ate my bacon egg and cheese sandwich....(I was eating grapes but they made me nauseas)
  • No bloat yet thankfully. I'm hoping it stays away :)
  • No bella band yet but definite bloat.  Fat pants feel pretty good right now.  My reg size pants get pretty tight in the afternoons especially.  I had to unzip them on the drive home one time.  Good thing no cop pulled me over at the time Embarrassed

Yes!  I think I'm going to pick up a bella band this weekend.

  • How about a "gain 10-15 pounds while ttc and not even my fat pants fit right now?"

I'm trying to decide if I should buy a larger size or go straight for the elastic waistband. I'm pretty sure I could convince myself it's really bloat :)

  • I too am having this problem.  From the responses, I'm glad I'm not the only one!  My bloat is crazy, but at least it comes and goes at the moment.

I've been using the "unbutton the top button" trick on my jeans for a few days, but I think I'll look for a Bella Band this weekend.

Sounds like the January 2011 birth club may just increase the Bella Band's sales singlehandedly! : )

  • Oh yes, totally bloated here!  My pants fit, but they're incredibly uncomfortable.  I wore a flowy dress yesterday, though, and it was heaven.  I just let my belly hang out and nobody could see it.  I think I'm going to pick up a bella band or be band this weekend.

  • I hear you! We had an event last night and I felt miserable in everything. DH encouraged me to pull pants out from my maternity stash (shhh! I know it is goofy that I have this). I thought it was a silly idea until I put them on. They were great! I was tempted to wear them to work today, but decided to go with yoga pants instead. I am bloat bump city!
  • I think my students are starting to wonder bc I've been wearing flowly dresses, skirts, etc. to work.  I have one pair of jeans that still fit most days and my pants with elastic are even tight.
  • My pants are still doing ok...but I refuse to wash them! I know if I throw my jeans in the washing machine I'll never get in them again!

I just feel like my belly is getting too big too fast. When I compared my 4 week pic to my 7 week pic the difference was scary!

  • Same prob here. I just decided to go ahead and wear maternity pants. They are comfy and to me thats all that matters. This is baby #3 for me so I'm all about comfy and not really caring what anyone thinks lol. I've never tried one of the belly bands though, I though about it but changed my mind.
