Do you think I will need to go up a size for a bridsmaid dress?

So I am the moh for a friends wedding.  I will be 19 weeks almost 20 weeks at her wedding.  We have already bought the dress and Davids bridal said they will take the dress back that I have and get me a bigger size.  Do you think I will need a bigger size.  Here is the dress (differant color) im wearing and its a little tight right now.

  • I would definitely go up a size or 2.  Though I show early in pregnancy and by the 19/20 week mark my belly is definitely there.

  • If it's tight now, at 6 weeks, I would go up at least 1 size, if not 2 or 3. By 20 weeks with DD, I was good and pregnant, and that dress doesn't look that forgiving in the belly area.

Could you get a different dress in the same color or something? The MOH has a lot more leeway with that kind of thing.

  • It was sort of thight before I got pg.  I have not tired it on in about 2 mos.  I think im going to go u like 2 sizes that way if I need to bring it down in size it would be better then not having a dress that fits on the wedding day.

They have an entire section of dresses that are maternity appropriate. A couple look enough like the one you posted that you wouldn't stand out as glaringly different. They have a billion color choices-- surely one would be the same as the other dresses?

  • I would go up 2 sizes.  I am 14 weeks and have popped already.
