2nd bloodwork results

went this morning for my 48 hour follow up to my bloodwork.  My hCG levels were doubling fine, however my progesterone was really low.  So now I get to have twice weekly progesterone shots in my butt (both sides, at that!).  I had my first ones today, which kind of sting a bit!  Next Thursday I go for my ultrasound so make sure the baby is measuring at what the bloodwork says it's at (late 5 weeks/early 6 weeks?).

So needless to say I'm feeling a lot better now that I know things are progressing.  And my morning sickness (and afternoon/evening sickness!) kicked in big time today!  Overall, I'm really excited and can't wait to see my little bean next Thursday!!! :)

  • First of all..congratulations!!  I haven't been on the board in awhile.  Secondly, I had low progesterone the whole way through my pregnancy and got the shots in my butt for 27 weeks!!!  I had to go twice a week for them.  What OB do you go to?  I went to Center for Women's Health and I developed a great relationship with everyone there since I went so often. What was your progesterone level?  Good luck!!
  • Congrats! I had to do prog shots every day through the first tri~ anything so the little bean grows!! Got to love m/s!! I hope that subsides!

  • Yeah, I can tell this is going to get old quickly, but it's for the best reason ever, so I'll gladly do it without complaint!!! :)

My levels were 8.2, I think she said yesterday.  She said it's most likely from the PCOS, which I figured.

I ended up at my primary care dr today... strep throat.  When it rains it pours!

Oh well... in 8 months it will so be worth every little thing!!! :)

  • And Lesli, I go to Center for Women's Health too -- the one in Lower Paxton.  I really love my CRNP, she's great!  And they're even going to let me record all my prenatal appointments so that hubby can feel like he is a part of the pregnancy even though he'll be in Afghanistan.  He's very excited about this! :)
