a comment from someone i have known since i was 4 or 5, when she found out i am pregnant.

She had her 1st daughter about a year or so after i had my son (and gave him up for adoption). I was playing with her daughter and said "awww i love babies" and she responded back "well if you love them so much, why didnt you keep yours"

Agreed.  There are some things history just can't make up for.  Comments like that are deal-breakers, imho.

I'm a lurker, but I'd just like to say that I hold you in the deepest respect because of your choice to give up your child. I am adopted and I am grateful every single day for people who make this choice.
