Anyone transition from hypoallergenic formula to regular?

Just wondering if anyone can give advice on this.  Dylan is on Alimentum, and we're hoping to transition him to regular formula starting probably this weekend.  He's doing so well on it, so I'm so nervous about making him a gassy, miserable baby again by trying to switch, but if we can save some money, that would be great!  If you were able to switch, how long did you transition and at what age?

We gave her alimentum for 3 weeks and I couldn't take the smell of it (especially when she would spit it up).  We then switched back to Sensitive against the advice of our pedi and tried it out again for a few days and it worked out perfectly fine for us.  If you switch back...maybe go to Sensitive versus the regular.  Do it for about 4 days and if you notice any  rashes or digestive issues, you may have to switch back to Alimentum.

Awesome!!  I hope you love your pictures as much as we love ours!  I don't know what I'm going to do for his next pictures since Joyelle will be out on maternity leave.

Maren was on Alimentum from 6m-9m.  I kept pumping during that period, so we transitioned her to breastmilk as opposed to regular formula, but it's pretty much the same type of thing.  She did great.  Even when we had to start supplementing with regular formula for the last month or so, she did fine then as well.

Thanks Lisa and monkaloo!  I'm going to talk to his pedi about it on Tuesday before we start trying to transition him.  I'm so nervous to make him feel bad like he did before!
