Do I wake her up?

DD fell asleep in her swing for a nap at 6 (pm).  I moved her to her crib at 8 thinking she would wake up soon for her bottle. Its now 9:15 and she's still asleep...

Do I wake her up and play for awhile and risk her not going back to sleep? Do I wake her up just to feed her and put her back to bed? Or, just let her sleep until she wakes up (most likely in the middle of the night) ?

She generally sleeps about 10 hours a night with 1 bottle somewhere around 4 a.m.

Re: Do I wake her up?

  • Are you a working mom or a SAHM?

If you are a SAHM, I'd say let her sleep, get up with her when she does wake up and then try to get in a nap tomorrow. If you're a working mom, I'd say try to do a dreamfeed. Pick her up gently and try to get her to take a bottle without fully waking her up.

  • Let her sleep! At this time of night she does not need to be woken up to play.

If you want to dream feed you can try that. It doesn't work with my son, but a lot of people do it.
