we've gone back and forth a million times, but i think we're finally set!
we wanted a name that would
A) honor a relative
be pronounced by Israelis and
C) have a formal/grownup sound with a cute nickname
so we've decided on: Samantha Kate (nickname Sammy)
My students and I came up with Samantha/Sammy, so my husband said he'd agree as long as he could use his favorite name as a middle name (hence Kate)
i know a lot of people don't love samantha, and it's not necessarily my favorite name of all time, but i think it's the perfect fit for us
