Do your parents and/or ILs change diapers?
We don't see the ILs as often as I see my mom but I noticed that neither IL ever offered to change C's diaper. I thought it was so strange, but I talked to a few friends and they said the same thing about their ILs.
My mom will practically trip over herself to spend 2 more minutes with Cooper - even if it means cleaning up a blowout. I have no idea about SD because he'd have to fight my mom off, but I'm sure he would. My SB is only 8 so it's not like it's been a long time since he was out of diapers.
Re: S/O Poll about parents & ILs
Best part of being home this past week was that my mom and dad changed all of F's diapers.
MIL changes F when she watches her, we don't ever eally hang out together for long enough to have it come up.
So Tasty, So Yummy
My mom doesn't but I think it woudl be hard for her.
MIL does without batting an eye. FIL does not but I'm pretty sure he didn't change any of this own kids. ; )
Crazy Christmas Kids!
Both do, but typically when we're all together DH or I do... However, if I couldn't for some reason all of them would gladly step in to do it.
I should also add though, MIL/FIL watch Samantha every day, so they change PLENTY of diapers. lol
My mother does not. Ever.
My MIL does. It would not occur to her to hand him back because he's dirty.
My dad does, but only when I'm gone. He is our babysitter so he changes diapers then, but he also comes to play with the kids once a week and have dinner with us and he does not change them then.
When DS was first born and my mom was over the first 2 weeks she would hand him back to me when he was dirty. She also was there to "keep me company and fix lunch" not so I could get some sleep.
Now she will every once and awhile and she did when she watched him for a few hours last weekend so DH and I could go to a movie. My dad doesn't "do" diapers.
Neither my MIL or FIL have, but I think they'd have no problem with it since they offered to watch him the next time they are in town so DH and I can have a few hours to ourselves.

My Mom does almost every single diaper change if she is around.
My MIL isn't ever around. I don't think she's ever changed one of our kid's diapers.

well, its really not easy for either my mom or my MIL. Both have trouble lifting, etc.
My MIL lives in town and watches the girls for me once a week. she will definitely change diapers, but if I'm in the house I'll run to do it every time. I learned a long time ago that she wasn't very good at cleaning up every last bit of poo and baby Elena would get diaper rash soon after every visit. If MIL was with the girls alone, I usually change Julia's diaper now immediately after my MIL leaves so as to avoid any similar diaper rash problems.
I usually see my Mom out of town, and it is just too hard for her to get on the floor to do it so I never ask her to.
