Way too much?

We are in the process of shopping for big boy furniture for ds.  We need to transition him out of the crib before the next one comes.  I found a beautiful twin bed for $438.  (Good quality wood too.)  It's the Legacy Kids brand if you're familiar with furniture.  Online it's about $560, but the store is having a Memorial Day Sale.  Is that outrageous to spend on a bed that will last until his teen years??

I don't think so.  If you really like it, I don't think $500 is too much to spend on a bed.

Definitely not too much to spend on furniture, as long as it's something that can grow with them. If you cheap out, you'll find yourself spending far more than that over the years replacing it. I personally would try to get a full size bed if you can--I think it's better as they get older, especially for a boy.
