I'm not sure it's a publicity stunt, but it sounds like a 'replacement baby' to me.
I also heard their two dogs were hit and killed the other day at the airport. The story I heard was comparing it to them losing their kid. It totally pissed me off. Sooooo not the same.

They don't strike me as the "publicity stunt" kinda people.
I do however suspect fertility treatments and wish that they would be open about it with the media. It pisses me off that so many Hollywood women make it look easy to have kids as such an advanced age. It makes women think that there's no risk in waiting to have kids.
And... what was their "weird reaction" to their son's death?
I know they're Scientologists and I'm not a fan.
Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
I think we only know what the media wants us to hear about them. If I were famous I wouldn't care what the public knew. I'm sure they read the headlines and roll their eyes a lot of the time. But I don't understand why, at 47, she would want another child!
And... what was their "weird reaction" to their son's death?
I guess just the fact that they were trying to link it to that Kawasaki (or whatever) disease and not seizures related to autism. There was the controversy over whether they should take him to the hospital or fly him to Florida.... IDK maybe I'm making all this up? I can't remember.
So, they finally came out and said she was pregnant, huh? I saw yesterday where they said they were "expecting" and was wondering if that meant actually pregnant or surrogate or adopting or what.
I've always loved John Travolta, but like MOO, got kinda turned off by the events around their son's death. The secrecy about his autism. Why did they chose to keep it a secret all this time? Then try to deny it? It just seems strange. Does it have anything to do with their religion?
I don't get the wanting to have an infant at 47 but to each his own. As far as them telling people or if they used infertitly drugs or whatever - why do they need to tell? Sorry but they are people and still deserve to have privacy and to share what they want to share. Sorry but did you annouce to the world how you got pregnant? I think people sometimes forget that even though stars are farmous by their own choice that they can still make choices about that they share.
As far as the stuff with their son, not sure of the denying the autism stuff was relegion related or denial or what. I always feel that when famous people share what they are going through with something like Autism or any disease or infertilty, it always helps more become people become more knowledgable or even more accepting of things but then again, it is their choice what to share and what not to.
