In general I know that you can refrigerate for about 7 days, or freeze and it is good for up to 3 months, and if freshly expressed can go around 6 hours at room temp. But how long can frozen/refrigerated go if warmed up and left out on the counter? Just curious. TIA
Re: How long can bm sit out?
frozen has to be used within 24 hours even if you keep it in the fridge. Once you freeze it, I think you need to treat it like formula (antibacterial elements are lower), so I wouldn't leave it out on the counter at all.
Just refrigerated, a few hours at room temp would be fine. If you warm it up, I'd reduce the amount of time it can sit out after because you've basically made it a happier place for bacteria.
