My husband and I are having a couples baby shower. The men will be having a Pampers Poker Tournament downstairs, complete with pool, darts and cigars. While the ladies have a ladies shower upstairs. My hardest decision now is the color for the invite. We don't want the color to be gender specific, since one side is for the ladies and the reverse is for the men. Even though the couples can go back and forth for the drinks, foods and games. I just wanted my husband and his friends to have a Man Town to escape from the Ooh & Aahs. I need help finding a color, any suggestions or anyone that has done something similar please share your thoughts. Thank you....only 173 days to go till EDD. Can't wait!
Re: Invitation colors
Sounds like a fun concept. We had a couples shower too. (The whole thing was a surprise to me.) The ladies were in the house mingling and opening presents and all the guys were out on the porch and playing in the yard. It was actually nice having the guys around a little bit.
I always think of green as being gender neutral so maybe that will work for an invite color. (I tend to prefer sagey greens to bright vibrant greens.)
I love the idea of the double-sided invite!
I do stationery & invitations as a side business, and I always use Paper Source paper because they have such amazing colors. It's actually how I chose my wedding colors.

I'd recommend any of these: curry, chartreuse, poppy. For a modern/edgy look, you could even do cement, gravel, or khaki and add some color with ink (and make it appropriate to each side of the invite).
Good luck!
